"A breed of satin and steel. Pit bulls are a mixture of softness and strength, an uncanny canine combination of fun, foolishness, and serious business, all wrapped up in love."

  1. That was so heart breaking.. That is the main reason I never breed any of my pittys... I was asked a million times to breed my oldest.. I had her fixed right off the bat, there was no way I could see a puppy end up in a fighting ring or a shelter...
Thanks for Sharing.. Even though I am in tears :(

    1. All dogs have different traits-no matter what the breeding-it is up to the owner to know there dog and act accordingly. The Pit Bull line is over-breed and diluted. We have too many unwanted and under supervised dogs out there.-There is no need for backyard breeding. Control your dogs and have them altered.Over population is killing the breed!

  2. Hello Beth,

I apologize for contacting you this way but I wasn't sure how else to get in touch.

I am writing as a reader and follower of your blog and facebook page. I was hoping that you would be able to offer some help to a local rescue that I volunteer with. We are Black Dog Animal Rescue out of Cheyenne, WY (www.bdar.org). A local business has agreed to donate $1 for each new "like" on their facebook page. That business is "Big O Tires Cheyenne" and their facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/BigOTiresCheyenne

If you would be able to post on your facebook wall and spread the news of this easy and awesome fundraising event that would be amazing! This promotion is going until the end of February.

If you have any questions please let me know.

    Thank you for your support,

    Ashley Clark

  4. Thank you so much! I would love to send you a pic of our newest dog who also happens to be a beautiful pit bull. She was slated for euthanasia today but we got her out yesterday. We also pulled (in addition to a few others) a Catahoola mix who was going to be euthanized because he needs a pricey ACL surgery. All of the money from the Big O tires is going to our Clyde Fund which pays for extensive surgerys that require long recovery times.

Please feel free to email me if you would like these pictures.

Thank you again for your post and encouraging friends to repost!!

  5. The best dog I ever owned was a Female Pitbull that I pulled out of the local VERY High Kill Shelter here in town. Being already two years old or so wasn't sure how she would be but she turned out to be the greatest dog ever and wouldn't hesitate to do it again if the time comes.
